Although dabbling with photography a little when I was younger, I didn’t really begin taking photography more seriously until buying a DSLR in 2007. A couple of years of finding my way followed before I really started getting to grips with the technicalities and artistic considerations which photography demands. In an attempt to develop my photography further I embarked on a 365 project in 2010 which I wasn’t able to sustain successfully but did begin to feel benefit from. Following this I successfully completed a 365 project in 2011, during which I learnt a lot about myself as a photographer.
During 2011 I started looking for other ways to improve my photography and started to look around for camera clubs in the area. I met some of the members at the South Reading Camera Club and after attending the 2011-12 season kick-off meeting thought I’d give it a try… After an enjoyable year of competitions, speaker presentations, studio evenings, and workshops I now find myself writing a short bio page as secretary!
