Gerda Bolton: Club Secretary
Joined the South Reading Camera Club member in September 2010 and became Club Secretary in September 2011.
I tend to take my Nikon camera with me wherever I go, though Tesco is not so keen on this! I like taking landscapes and seascapes and also quite like photographing people in various settings. Not quite so keen on studio photography, I prefer candid shots. I enjoyed photographing a couple of weddings and have also discovered that flowers are much more interesting to photograph than to maintain in the garden! And I also take most of the club photographs for Reading Abbey RFC, as well as having photographed several of the Berkshire County Youth rugby union matches in the last couple of years.
Guess in general I enjoy trying out new things and new techniques.
Other hobbies include Scrabble, Backgammon, Storm chasing (hurricanes are my passion, though I have lived through an F3 tornado in Holland when I was a little girl) and I also enjoy knitting and quilting.”
