Well over 60 entries were put before Alan Copeland on the S.R.C.C’s first competition for the       2011-12 programme. A varied range of images were seen by again a large group of attending members.  All were of good quality and showed a great deal of effort had been put into them. The evening went ahead on time which allowed each image to get a least a minute of the judges
time and consideration.  A big well done must go out to Keith Bowsher 56 points  and  joint second placing went to Alistair Morey and  new member Mark Stokes,  a close 55 points. Also to all new members, some of whom had allowed others to see their efforts for the first time and (in some cases it was the first time they had actually printed off their work) so WELL DONE ALL.

Remember the second part of the print championship is 11th November this time we have a subject Street Scene, so get thinking.

Next meeting, the return of Pauline Thornhill and her husband with BIRDS OF TEXAS. A well presented show of wildlife
images from distant shores and well worth a look to give you inspiration on
taking those wildlife pictures
